This review is from: Historical Conquest Playing Cards (CCG) - Complete Set of Starter Decks (2nd Edition)
This is an excellent game that makes history into a fun game to be shared with friends. It gives us an opportunity to make use of what we've learned through a history based, literature based, TJEd style learning approach without having to use boring testing or review to retain knowledge of historical facts and characters. The game makes for an excellent supplement to homeschooling, as well as offering an opportunity to enrich any out-of-home school program.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Son Loves Historical Conquest

A couple of weeks ago my family was at Blockbuster to pick up a movie. There was a movie poster in the window -- I can't even tell you what movie it was -- but the main caption said something like "behind every code is an enigma." I commented that was an interesting thought and my husband told me that the first computer system used by the military was called "Enigma". That made the comment more sensible but then my 14 year old begins telling me what he knows about the Enigma. I didn't know he'd ever heard of it, didn't remember studying it in either history or computer class. How did he know? There's a Historical Conquest card about it, of course! Thank you HC, for making learning history fun for my kid!
